Rose of Sharon Hibiscus Pink x 20+ Seeds
The Rose of Sharon is a perennial that loses it's leaves in the winter. They can be trimmed back to make a bush or let go to a tree. They need full sun to part shade. The more sun they get, the more blooms you will get. They are drought tolorant. They are these mauve color.
I soak my seeds for 2 days to help with germination. After soaking, plant them in a flat or pot and cover with about 1/4" of soil. Put in full sun and keep moist but not soaked to eliminate molding. They will come up for you. When they get about 3"-4" tall, transplant to small pots until they get big enough to handle to transplant to the ground in full sun to partial shade. They are very drought tolerant. They are also fast growers. At the end of their growing season, the seed pods will turn brown and split to expose the seeds. Also, the leaves will fall off. They are great for a focal attraction in your yard. They can be grown as a tree or trimmed to a bush. You will be the talk of your block. You will be very proud and pleased with these babies. I am.
