Classic Serenity Blue End Table
This classic Serenity Blue furniture piece was found at a estate sale. When I laid eyes on this beautiful piece of furniture I wanted to bring it back to life. I have always enjoyed painting furniture but was limited when I worked full time. I no longer work due to a rare disease that I have. Being in the Dental field for 20 years was hard to give up but I had to due to my condition. Since I have been unemployed for 2 years, I have decided to start refurbishing furniture to see where it takes me. I was so use to being a strong independent woman and having my own money this transition has been hard for me. Painting furniture… Is such good therapy for me, I can do it at my own pace and each piece is made with allot of love and talent! I look forward to this journey! Thank y’all for all your support! The color I chose for this table is called Serenity Blue Chalked (ultra matte finish) and the surface of the table I used the stain color Mission Oak (Satin) Minwax Stain and Polyurethane. Sealed chalk paint with Americana Decor clear wax. The hardware was painted with the color Glided Brass a Metallic Paint and Prime. I also accented some areas of the table with the same Metallic Gold I used for hardware. The drawer liner I chose was a Waterproof Gold and White Geometric print. The Labor that was invested in furniture includes…sanding the surface of table and removed hardware. Thoroughly cleaned hardware and furniture. Painted a total of 3 coats of the Serenity Blue Chalk paint. Placed 2 coats of stain. The hardware I used 2 coats as well. I let paint set for 48 hours then I buffed the clear wax protector over the chalk paint. Thes I measured the the drawer and placed the liner.
This beautiful piece could certainly be used in a living area or as a night table in the bedroom. If interested in this piece and if you are interested in seeing more I have a bigger piece that would be perfect to go with it. I’m finishing it up now. It would make a great coffee table!
