Antique Shop Sign From Islip Hand Painted
Beautifully painted 4' by 8' sign on 3/4" plywood. This sign was hand painted and features two sides. One side features a wonderful garden, bridge, railing motif with birds. The other side features a simpler yest still elegant gold block lettering with vines on a blue background. This is a well made sign and is a piece of local Long Island History. The shop was owned by Baron Alan Cousin. The artwork was done by Sharon Staebler. The shop was well known for its quality authentic antiques as was the favorite on many designers. The sign was just recently rescued from a shed and is now available for someone to give it a new home where it can be seen and appreciated. This is a true one of a kind piece.
