This three-session retreat will focus on helping us develop a deeper experience of mindfulness and concentration in meditation. Through improving our meditation technique, we will find that we can develop our own power to control our mind. Without control over our mind or thoughts, we are at the mercy of painful feelings. We can see from our own experience that we need mastery over our mind.
Joining our Thursday meditation practice classes, which are held weekly, will help you prepare for the retreat. Attendance in the Thursday classes is not necessary. The retreat will be available for 7 days after the original broadcast.
For people with a special interest in learning to meditate, we have developed a special meditation program. The program is designed to help people improve and enjoy their meditation practice. As part of this program, we are offering two unique online urban meditation retreats. The retreats are approximately every six weeks (June 11, and July 9).
Our Thursday classes span several series. We offer 24 unique classes and four mini-retreats in all. Check our online calendar for more information about our other Thursday series and the mini-retreats.

We are a non-profit organization. We have class fees to cover expenses such as rent for a commercial space. The payments for each class allow us to fulfill our mission. Still, we try to keep these fees to a minimum to allow everyone to participate and never turn anyone away if they cannot afford it.
Free parking is available in the lot behind the Center and on the surrounding neighborhood streets.
