Large Antique Beautiful Flow Blue Soup Tureen Harcourt Pattern
A really beautiful Flow Blue Soup Tureen.
I was not able to identify the Pottery Maker of this beautiful pattern but the applied pad/lozenges with impressed name of "Harcourt" and Rd No. 185255.
I've never seen two Rd. No. on a piece so I am guessing that the first Rd. No. is the shape of the pottery piece and the 2nd Rd. No. is the flow blue pattern. The first Rd. No. dates 1891-1892.
The second Rd. No. 210792 in blue underglaze mark, I believe is the Flow Blue Pattern design number. This Rd. No. dates 1893-1894. The gold embellishments on Flow Blue pieces were beginning to be used in the later 1880s after Flow Blue had already been produced and used.
Measures 13-1/2" handle to handle x 8-1/4" wide x 7-3/4" tall to the top of the handle on the lid.
There are a couple of very small glaze skips that have a little staining on them from age & use and there is some wear on the gold embellishments. No chips, cracks or hairlines.
