Vintage metal suitcase portable picnic table, dinnerware & thermos bottles
A vintage portable picnic table! This suitcase is actually a table - with legs that fold open. Inside the suitcase are two mint thermos type bottles and 'dinnerware' for a very elegant set up whether your camping, having a picnic in the park, or just setting up for a group get together in the backyard. This item dates back to the late 1950's, early 1960's and is mint in box....i.e., it's never been used. Everything is in excellent condition....with just one tiny speck of wear on one exterior side of the suitcase by the handle (see picture). Very mid-century modern. really unusual, and quite the conversation piece!! There's room for a tablecloth and even more items in the suitcase, too...E-mail for additional info. This item could be shipped, but would have to go UPS or Fedex I think, because of the weight and the size. I can definitely see someone setting this up at Tanglewood or even the 4th of July on the Esplanade - how cool would that be? I would recommend adding some rubber leg tips on the bottom of each leg..it would add to the stability of the table and protect the legs at the same time.
