Late 1800's Made in BOSTON. Desk and chair a matching pair and have the same iron bases. Both can be adjusted up or down. Antique HIGGINS AMERICAN INDIA ink in the ink well. The iron on the chair reads, "CHANDLER ADJUSTABLE CHAIR & DESK CO. BOSTON MASS PAT. JUNE 9 1896
