Crotta Art Nouveau Illustration, early Italian literary periodical/magazine/newspaper with illustration by Giovanni Crotta who is better known for his postcard illustrations from the same period, dated July 7, 1901, 15 ½ x 10 5/8 in., 16 pages with literary articles, poetry, book reviews, etc., front page has a large Grotta illustration and each page has top border with illustrations by same artist, the Google translates the title as “The Northern Sicilian”…in addition to the graphics of G. Grotta this periodical has merit as a piece of Italian literary history, some overall yellowing and top of front page has some minor water stains, not brittle, sold as found.
